xploited media case study

A web 2.0 community for Players, Publishers, and Developer in the Gaming Industry. Members are able to create custom profiles, collections, photo galleries, friends, blogs, start groups, and do matchmaking to find other players per game.

Our Role
Ranked Match was our grandest project yet. We built everything from scratch with only the addition of vBulletin's powerful message forums system. When we began developing this online community, web 2.0 was still a new concept. Many of its current features still have yet to be seen on major web 2.0 sites like Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. The video game collection management utilizes a flexible MySQL database with content contributed by members of the website. We took inspiration from IMDB.com, which is the absolute best film database on the net. Its content is complete and concise. We took this approach to their video game content. Members can be as detailed or quick in their submissions to add new video games to the site.
